Aphylia picked up the phone. Her voice was shaky, "H..hello?" An equally nervous voice answered, "Is um Aphylia there?" It was a guy's voice. Aphylia perked up, "Who is this?" Hope was building inside of her. She felt ready to burst. Could it be Legolas? She gripped the phone tightly. It has to be! "Um.. is this Aphylia?" "Yes." "Its um.. Lego..." Aphylia cut him off, "Legoals?!?!?" Her heartbeat quickened. He called me! She grinned, he doesn't hate me! "Hi!" "Umm.. hi." Legolas still sounded nervous. Aphylia wanted to race over to him, wherever he was, and hug him. Tell him everything would be okay. "Sooo, whats up?" "Umm... I.... just.... ummm... wanted to say sorry about... whatever," Legolas stopped. This conversation was going nowhere. "Aphylia.. Umm.. whens your next break? Like spring break or whatever." "Ummm in like two weeks, why?" "I have two tickets to New Zealand. I thought you might like to help me explore Lothlorien." Lothlorien, Aphylia thought. Hmmmmmmm. Would it be dangerous? Would they maybe find some more elves? She finally made up her mind. "I'd love to go Legolas," Aphylia smiled at the phone. She knew he couldn't see her. "Really?" Legolas was relieved. He thought she would still be mad at him and say no. "Um so how do I meet you at an airport or whatever?" Aphylia was kind of confused. "If you could give me directions to where you live then I would pick you up. How bout starting from where the premiere was held. That would be easier." "Okay," Aphylia gave him the directions. She paused as he finished writing them down, "Um Legolas." "Yeah?" "Should I pack anything special? Can ya kind of fill me in on what we are gonna try doing there? And more about the location?" "Uh sure. I wanted to tell you more that night on the patio thingies but, well you know. Umm I guess pack clothes, duh. Umm do you still have some elvish outfits? Stuff from before?" "Yeah, I have a couple. Why?" "Well I wanted to continue telling you this. Here goes. I know I said that I hadn't felt an elvish glow coming from the forest but, there might be some elves. You never know. And its been so long since I've used my elvish senses. I forgot to tell you this but, it seems mortals are oblivious to it being there. I was standing by the forest waiting for Sean to come back from the phone call with Peter and I watched a villager walk right through a tree. I touched one of the trees near me. It was solid. I think its hidden from men. But, elves can still see it. Galadriel's magic helped with that probably. I was thinking if you were able to, and you are, come with me we would explore inside the forest. Maybe find out more of the past after what happened. And maybe find a few relatives and friends. If there are any elves inside *hint*." Woah! That Aphylia hadn't expected. Men walking through trees. This was wierd. And if Galadriel really was working her magic on Lothlorien... "I'd love to go Legolas." "Great!" Legolas did a victory dance on the other side of the phone line, "In two weeks then." "Right two weeks." Aphylia heard the click on the other line. She slowly put down her phone. Well that went a bit too well, she thought. Everything has happened so fast! Friends, the Premiere, Legolas/Orlando, Lothlorien! Aphylia's head spun. What next?(ahem....) She shook her head. I really don't want to know, she thought, the last thing I want is for some other person to turn up from the past.... suddenly. Sighing she got up and unzipped her backpack. Books stuck out of the opening. Homework was beginning to get old. *Monday at Lynbrook* Aphylia closed her locker door to come face to face with Laura. "Hey girl!" Laura grinned. Aphylia smiled, "Hey! Nothing much." She looked down at the books piled in her arms. Laura shifted from one foot to the other as if she was really anxious. "Lia! I have the greatest news," Laura gushed suddenly, "There is this new hot exchange student from Switzerland!!!!" "Wha??? Wait a second.. Laura your already with someone.. hello?" "Oh I know," Lauara grinned mischeviously, "I was thinking maybe you could.. meet him and... well.." She paused to look slyly up at Aphylia. "Oh no you don't!" Aphylia was catching on, "I'm not meeting this dude from Switzerland.. or whatever! Okay! Just.. Laura.. just leave me to my own choice of guys." Aphylia sighed. Was Laura ever going to stop trying to hook her up? "But, I already told him he could sit with us at lunch and.. maybe.. meet you," Laura looked all googly eyed at Aphylia. "Aaaargh! Fine! I'll talk to this guy," this should shut Laura up for a while, thought Aphylia,"What's his name anyways?" "Oh.. it's Hendel." Aphylia just sorta stared at Laura with her mouth hanging open. Could someone like slap me and fix what she just said, thought Aphylia. "Woah... Lia you okay? Yeah I know the names a bit odd but.. it's not that bad is it?" Laura looked at Lia. "Laura," Aphylia held out her arm, "pinch me!!!!" "Okay!" Laura pinched Aphylia with a bit too much enthusiasm. "OOOOOWWWWWWEEEEEE!!!!!" Aphylia massaged her arm, "Not that hard!!" "Sorry... but you will talk to Hendel? Please?" "Oh I'll talk to Hendel. No doubt about that." Aphylia looked at the hallway clock, "Hey Laura I'm late I'll see you and this Hendel guy at lunch..k?" "K!" Laura watched Aphylia hurry down the hallway, "Score... Lia's gonna have a boyfriend by the end of this week."
Aphylia wandered down the hallway. So what if she was late for class. Hendel.. alive? That was much more important. How could he be though? I thought Legolas had said he had seen Hendel dead... with an axe in his.... Aphylia almost blanched.. can't think about that. She shook her head and walked into her class. *lunch time* Aphylia walked slowly into the cafeteria. She'd waited all morning to see Hendel and now she could barely move towards the table.. she was so nervous. No one was there except for Molly and Sandra. No Hendel... yet. Aphylia slid into a chair beside Sandra and pulled out her lunch. Sandra muttered a barely audible, "hey." Then went back to doing her homework. Molly was a little more talkative. "So... have you talked to him yet?" "Who?" Aphylia looked up from her sandwich. "You know the exchange student? Hendel?" "Oh him," Aphylia looked down at her sandwhich, "No not yet. He's supposed to be......" Laura cut her off, "The fun has arrived!" Sandra, Molly, and Aphylia looked up at Laura. Beside her stood a tall guy. He had reddish hair and brown eyes which seemed to be bugging out at the moment. He remembers me, she thought, just like I remember him. She looked at his pointy ears and grinned. Hendel WAS alive. "Everyone! I'd like to introduce Hendel!" Laura grinned at Aphylia then went on, "He is an exchange student from Switzerland. Hendel this is Laura.. Sandra.. and Aphylia. You can call her Lia though." Laura motioned at each of the girls. When she spoke Aphylia's name his brow creased. Well that just confirmed him he was right about this girl being Aphylia. "Nice to meet you.. all" He stared pointidly at Aphylia. "Nice to meet you Hendel," Sandra and Molly chirruped (?) "Nice to meet you," Aphylia paused, "Hendel...again."
