Aphylia stood up suddenly. "Are they still there?" "I dunno? Probably. Elijah was having a heated argument with the drink guy.LOL!" "Right. Umm I'm gonna go get some crackers yeah, and some autographs. Hey speaking of autographs.. I got Haden's." "What!!! Gimme Gimme Gimme!!!" Laura practically dumped the table over in her excitement. "Woah! Calm down. Here you can have it,"Aphylia pulled the sheet of paper out of her pocket and tossed carelessly onto the table. Laura and Sandra dove for it. Aphylia walked slowly towards the bar. She knew he was there but, she couldn't gather enough courage. Whats wrong with you Aphylia? she scolded herself. Would he run away again? She hoped not. They knew each other. Right? She sighed with frustration. Why was this soo hard? She nervously twirled her hair and paused. She looked up at the counter. No one was there! Where was Orlando? Elijah? Aphylia stomped her foot. Aaaaaargh, she thought!!!! This was turning into a wild goose chase!!! Aphylia felt like crying again. Oh Legolas, she thought. Sigh. Aphylia walked back to the table and slumped into her chair again. Molly, Sandra, and Laura looked at her oddly. "You were over there for a while, Lia. What gives?" asked Laura. "Uh.. spacing out. Sorry. No crackers. He He He," she laughed weakly. "Right." Laura suddenly brightened, "Hey! I almost forgot! We need to get ready for that premeir thingy!!! We get to wait by the red carpet before going in to watch the movie!!!" "Really?!? Sweet!! I have to go take a shower! Like now!!! If you see Scott (Molly's boyfriend) tell him I'm getting ready." "Me too!!" piped in Sandra. Both girls hurried away towards their rooms. "Wait! Its starting in like 3 hours!!! Calm down!!" Laura called after them, "Sheesh.. psychos. lol" "Well I'm gonna go look for Kyle okay? I dunno where he wandered off to," muttered Laura. "Okay. I'll go exploring around the hotel. Maybe go for a swim." "Okay. Well, see you in an hour." "Bye!" Laura walked towards the lobby door and out into the parking lot. Aphylia looked around again, for Legolas. Nowhere. Sigh. She got up and walked over to the elevator. She looked over her shoulder again. No Legolas. Sigh. She got into the elevator and pressed a few buttons. The elevator jolted and started to go up. It paused for someone to get in. She didn't look up to see who it was, she was to lost in thought. Whoever it was seemed surprised to see her. She watched as their feet shuffled backwards and knocked clumsily against the closed elevator doors. She looked up. Her eyes widened. It was Orlando. Or Legolas? He looked at her with equally large eyes. Then a sudden jolt shook the elevator. Aphylia flew, accidently, into his arms. The lights flickered out and Aphlylia backed away from him. The elevator had run out of power! Aphylia's elven eyes adjusted to the sudden darkness. She saw Orlando blinking too. Aaaawww he looks so cute, thought Aphylia. Woah! Snap out of it Aphylia. She slapped herself. Orlando jumped at the sound. He peered blindly at her. "Aphylia?" his voice was shaky. She stared at him dumbly. They were in a broken elevator, together, and she didn't know what the heck to say. "Is it really you?" Orlando walked over to her. "It is you. Oh my gosh." she saw a sliver of a tear run down his cheek. That did it. Sobs racked her body. Once more Aphylia buried her face into Legolas's shoulder. It was a relief to be with him again. Legolas/Orlando wrapped his arms around her and cried. Oh how good it felt to be with her once more, he thought, I feel wonderful. He pulled away and looked at her. Aphylia had changed so much more. He thought of that last night and morning he had had with her. Emotion rushed through him. And now they were seeing each other milleniums later. A hundred years sounded like a minute compared to how long they had been seperated. "Aphylia, I.." Aphylia put her finger on his lips. She looked at his face again. Her eyes searching, remembering. "Legolas. It's been too long," she sighed. Legolas grasped her shoulders. Leaning forward he brushed his lips against her cheek. He felt like a trillion bolts of lightning were hitting him just then. He felt like flying. For such a small, no not even a kiss, it was wonderful. He smiled and looked at her. Aphylia was stunned. She reached to touch her cheek. It was burning from his slight touch. She sighed. She was on cloud 9 (as humans referred to happiness) "Oh Legolas. There is so much to talk about," Aphylia looked at him in the dark. Still the tall elf she had known. Reaching out to touch a strand of his short brown hair, the elevator jolted back to life. Both elves were thrown to the sides. They both gasped , then laughed. The door opened suddenly. Elijah stood in the opening with a repair man. He looked relieved. "Orlando, man. You okay?" Elijah looked at her, realization struck. "Hey your that girl in the hallway, wierd. What are you doing here? I thought fans weren't supposed to be in this hotel in the first place." Aphylia was stuck. What was she supposed to say? Scooting out the door she looked fearfully back at Orlando. She whispered Bye in elvish, then ran down the hallway. Orlando cried out, "WAIT!!!! Aaaaaargh, Elijah! Why'd ya scare her off?" He started to walk down the hallway after her. Elijah stared dumbly after Orlando. "Uh, sorry Orlando. I didn't know you knew each other. I didn't mean to.." he trailed off looking hurt. Orlando turned around to try to explain to Elijah, but all he heard was the sound of elevator doors closing as he looked down an empty hallway. Elijah, aaaaaargh! You've just made life a lot harder then it should be, he thought. Oh man. He looked back up the way Aphylia had run. Poor Aphylia. Sigh. Legolas touched his lips. Wow! That was the most awesome, he fumbled for the right words. Oh well, whatever it was it had felt wonderful. He smiled then pressed the down button. He'd see her again. He knew he would. Now there was Elijah to apologize to. Meanwhile, Aphylia ran. She felt hurt and scared. Yet happy. Panting she skidded around a corner and stopped. She blushed. That short time with Legolas had been the best time of her life since she saw him last in Mirkwood. She sighed with contentment. They would see each other again. She was sure of it. Looking around her she spotted another elevator. She got in and pressed her floor. Maybe she still had time for a swim before the premier. To relax and think. She got out and unlocked her door. She looked around and bit her lip. Digging through her unpacked stuff she grabbed a bikini she had brought. It was the same blue of her eyes. She smiled, and just like Legolas's eyes. Putting it on she twirled in front of the mirror then stopped. She reached up and tugged at what little hair she had. Why had she cut it? And why had Legolas cut his own? And died it? He had looked more.. more like himself with long blonde hair. She sighed. Oh well. Now he's a famous actor and I'm a highschooler. She grumbled at herself while she put on a short skirt and halter top over her bikini. Grabbing a towel she walked outside and found her way to the pool. Aphylia splashed around for a while. She was refreshed but bored. No one was there. Paddling around for a few more minutes she shook her head and got out. Water droplets splattered through the air. She scrubbed her hair then wrapped the towel around her waist. Footsteps echoed throughout the indoor pool's glassy enclosure. Aphylia looked up. Sandra waved to her. She called out, "Hey if you want to take a shower you better hurry up. You have about 1 hour." "K! Thanks for telling me!" Aphylia called out. "See ya!" Sandra left. Aphylia grabbed her clothes and hurried outside. She skipped going up in an elevator and went up the stairs. Once in her room she dropped her clothes on her bed and unwrapped the towel. Shivering Aphylia opened her suitcase and took out a dress she had brought for the premiere. She held it up and smiled. It was her old elven dress she had saved. Still like new. The shimmery fabric glinted in the late sunshine. Pinks, reds, blues, and purples melded to create a sunset, from an elves point of view, on the gown. It was beautiful, different from mortal dresses, for it felt like a running stream over her body when she put it on. She placed it carefully on her bed and went to turn on the shower. The water ran warm immediatly. Nice, she thought. Stepping inside she closed her eyes and breathed in the warmth. Ah, she thought. After her shower was done, Aphylia fixed her short hair so it looked presentable. She dried off the remaining water droplets on her skin and walked into the room. The gown glinted from the bed. She slipped it on and sighed. Oh how good it felt to wear something normal. No scratchy cloth. Just smoothness. She checked the wall clock. Half an hour. Time to sit outside on the porch and enjoy the view, she thought. Before she went outside she slipped on some bracelets and an elven necklace that matched her dress. A breeze blew playfully at her short strands of hair. She laughed at the wind. Sitting on a comfortable chair she looked out at the hills. HOLLYWOOD stood out large and white amongst the trees. Aphylia looked into the distance (being an elf she can see for miles and miles and miles and.. you get the point). Then sun was rolling slowly down the horizon. She watched as a lone gull flew against the breeze. A creak of patio doors surprised Aphylia out of her peace. Aphylia part 7... |
